The United Concerned citizens of Prichard, Alabama, is a coalition of citizens united to advocate the rights of all citizens, particularly those disenfranchised such as the elderly, single parent families, low income families, families with health challenges and small businesses. Our organization formed in response to the drastic water rate increases in our community. We were concerned as to why these aggressive increases were taking affect so rapidly. We learned that there were alternatives to raising the water rates for citizens, beginning with the dissolution of an incompetent water board which had NO accountability to the citizens. We strive to keep Prichard a great place to live, by enhancing community awareness and development! But we need YOUR help. How can I help? 1. By attending the Prichard Water & Sewer Board Location: 125 Clark Avenue (Where we pay our water bill) Prichard, AL 36610 Time: Every Second Monday at 4:30PM 2. By attending our monthly meetings: Location: St. James A.M.E Church 209 N. Joseph Street Prichard, AL 36610 Time: Every 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:00PM See Our Calendar of Events!
