About Us

The United Concerned citizens of Prichard, Alabama, is a coalition of citizens united to advocate the rights of all citizens, particularly those disenfranchised such as the elderly, single parent families, low income families,  families with health challenges and small businesses.

Our organization formed in response to the drastic water rate increases in our community.  We were concerned  as to why these aggressive increases were taking affect so rapidly.  We learned that there were alternatives to raising the water rates for citizens, beginning with the dissolution of an incompetent water board which had NO accountability to  the citizens.

We strive to keep Prichard a great place to live, by enhancing community awareness and development!  But we need YOUR help.
