Dissolve the Water and Sewer Board Of Prichard! |
|
Mobile Area Water and Sewer Board will take over, lower water rates and pay off all debts. Does this decision rest with the citizens of Prichard or the people we elected to office?
Why should the citizens of Prichard continue to endure hardships because the politicians choose not to listen to their needs? But they want your vote. Representative James Gordan (D) - Openly stated that he does NOT support the citizens’ request to dissolve the Prichard water Board and has tried to block the efforts made by the citizens. Prichard City Council (Napoleon Bracy, Herman Towner, Ossia Edwards and Troy Ephriam) — Signed a resolution to initiate action to stop any legislation from passing that would give the citizens the right to vote on the issue of dissolving the Prichard water board. Senator Rusty Glover (R) - Voted against the proposed bill to give the citizens the right to vote on dissolution of the Prichard Water board. Senator Glover represents district 34 which includes less than 1% of Prichard. Senator Ben Brooks (R) - Voted against the proposed bill to give the citizens the right to vote on dissolution of the Prichard Water board. Senator Glover represents district 35 which does NOT include Prichard. We are now paying Severn Trent over a Half Million dollars a month to operate the water and sewer utilities of Prichard. This was approved by your water board:
Patricia Davis—District 1 Russell Heidelburg—District 2 Clayton Young—District 3 S.McAuthor-Miles—District 4
